2008 Bright Idea Awards
Awarded Annually by the Texas Daily Newspaper Association for the Best Self-Promotion by a Newspaper in each of Four Circulation Categories
- "Bright Idea" Awards will be presented to newspapers in separate circulation classes with the best self-promotions for 2008.
- All TDNA members newspapers are eligible to enter.
- All entries must be original, and must have appeared in a member paper sometime between January 1 and December 31, 2008.
- Entry may have promoted any department (advertising, circulation, editorial, etc) or may have promoted the entire newspaper.
- Each newspaper is limited to three (3) separate promotion entries.
- Entries must be mounted on 22 x 28 inch poster board and carry the newspaper's masthead. Each entry must also have mounted in the lower right hand corner a 3x5 card stating the name, address, daily circulation of the newspaper and the title of the promotion.
- It is recommended that entries be tearsheets rather than original artwork. Veloxes are acceptable.
- Judging
will be completed independently by the International Newspaper Marketing
Association (INMA) members with no TDNA affiliation. Winners will
be chosen from the following circulation categories:
Under 10,000
10,000 to 35,000
35,000 to 100,000
Over 100,000 - Winners will be announced and award plaques presented at TDNA's Annual Meeting.
- All entries must be postmarked no later than January 15, 2009. Contest entries will not be returned.
